Position Summary The Financial Manager in the Center for Global Engagement (CGE) performs budgetary, strategic planning and financial activities for the Center. This position directly reports to the Vice Provost for Global Engagement. The Financial Manager will work closely with the Center's leadership on financial services for international programs and compliance within the industry standards for international engagement. In addition, this position represents CGE by participating in University pilot programs and financial committees.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field, four years of relevant work experience, and a Christian faith are required. Preference will be given to candidates with either a Master’s degree or CPA.
Prepare financial statements for the Center, including strategic initiatives, program proposals, study abroad programs, and operational and personnel budgets
Create and analyze reports to assist in planning and management decision-making
Coordinate and assist departmental personnel who perform financial duties
Perform strategic financial analysis and communicate current and projected fiscal situation of accounts
Ensure integrity of student depositing and billing procedures for study abroad activity.
Manage day-to-day issues, financial transactions, and timely invoices for the Global Gateway and Direct Admit programs.
Streamline and improve business related processes
Review and approve financial transactions as necessary
Oversee the financial, budgetary and business-related functions of University
Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of general financial accounting and reporting principles
Analyze and review contracts and negotiate preferable terms for the Center.
Provide training and support to personnel as necessary related to University financial policies and procedures
Serve as financial liaison for internal and external entities
