The Texas Society of CPAs (TXCPA) is currently looking for a Director, Accounting Education Foundation. In this position you will provide oversight, guidance and strategic direction to our efforts to develop and engage a diverse student population and grow the interest in engagement of pursuing a career in accounting.
Work with Texas high schools to create an awareness of accounting to pre-college students.
Establish a relationship with accredited universities and colleges in Texas that includes programs and training with the goal of attracting students to the accounting profession.
Work with and support Beta Alpha Psi and other related organizations to keep accounting at the forefront of professional occupations as these students enter the workforce.
Develop and maintain an active student intern program.
Develop and maintain a job bank exclusively for students entering the accounting profession.
Develop TXCPA programs, events, and committees that will engage the students and young professionals including a larger presence at the meeting of members.
Serve as staff liaison to the Accounting Education Advisory Board.
Coordinate activities of TXCPA and local chapters that are geared toward the student population. This will include coordination and oversight of accounting scholarships.
Leverage the resources of TXCPA staff to support the initiatives of the program.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelors Degree in marketing, communication, business or related field
Experience managing a program for an association/not-for-profit
Relevant certification or accreditation
Experience with CPA profession or similar licensed profession
