The Senior Manager of Auditing is responsible for managing and improving the internal audit program to ensure completeness and accuracy of internal controls, accounting records and financial reports. Responsible for developing and managing the internal audit function, and directing the Model Audit Rule (MAR) Program. The Senior Manager will submit an annual internal audit plan to the Audit Committee on audits conducted and on the status of the audit program. This includes assistance with the third party vendor, data and trending analysis of claims coding, and management reporting. A motivated self-starter who is comfortable working independently and in a team environment. The incumbent must be able to effectively and must possess good investigative and analytical skills.
In addition, the Senior Manager will assist the Chief Compliance Officer, CEO, Boards of Directors and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors in conducting special audits or investigations when needed and provide support to facilitate external audits or examinations by independent audit firms and regulators.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
Master's Degree Major: Accounting or Business Administration preferred
Advanced license or certification: CIA or CPA and CFE or AHFI strongly preferred.
Five years in Internal/External Audit (or combination) with some experience in health care organizations
Five years management job related experience.
Writing /Composing (Correspondence / Reports)
Ability to maintain an attitude of independence and objectivity toward all District business.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
High-level knowledge of auditing procedures, including statistical sampling and the use of various computer systems and software.
