The Information Technology (IT) Auditor performs complex to advanced information systems auditing, data analysis, and departmental audit and administrative support work for Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS). Duties involve leading or planning and conducting technical audits of information systems, platforms, and operating procedures; preparing audit findings regarding the efficiency, accuracy, and security of financial and non-financial programs. May train and/or supervise and assign the work of others. This position is located in downtown Austin, Texas and reports to the Senior IT Audit Manager.
This opening will be filled at one of two levels (IT Auditor or Senior IT Auditor) depending upon the qualifications of the individual selected and the discretion of the hiring manager. Starting salary is commensurate with experience.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
High School diploma or equivalent and additional experience in auditing information systems, controls, and security may substitute for the required education on an equivalent year-for-year basis.
Four (4) years of full-time progressively responsible experience in auditing information systems, controls, and security, and performing data analysis, including two (2) years of project management experience.
Preferred Master's degree or a second certification may substitute for one (1) year of the required audit experience
Experience may be concurrent.
Registration, Certification, or Licensure:
Certification as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer information systems, auditing, accounting, business administration, finance, economics, public administration, or a related field.
Experience planning and coordinating audits in information systems, investments, financial services, defined benefit plans, and/or health care.
Experience performing complex information technology audit-related data analysis.
Experience with ACL or similar data-mining tool.
Experience with TeamMate Audit Management System or similar audit management tool.
Experience in public sector auditing.
